The 2011 Songs for Social Justice Competition, encouraging aspiring and established singer/songwriters to create new songs centred around themes of social justice, has now closed. We have received 18 submissions, and in general terms the quality of the songs is high indeed. The judges are now settling down to a very difficult task, and we hope to announce results by the end of November. There are no losers in our competition, but the song selected as the most outstanding will hopefully be performed by its creator at the Second Alistair Hulett Memorial Concert on January 28th 2012.
